Mike Paldino is a published writer, producer, actor, performer, creator, and professional sleight-of-hand artist. He is also a co-founder and co-owner of Evenly Distributed Productions, LLC.
His work as an actor includes parts in a number of theatrical performances, namely in shows written by Chekov, Samuel Beckett, and Jules Pfeiffer, and on-screen in EDPʼs first short film, HOMESICK, which he also co-wrote. He is the co-writer (along with Christopher Werner) and producer of “The Neighbors”, and has made contributions to the companyʼs web series “Anthology”. His poetry and short monologues have been published in literary magazines including Chavez, and performed live during open mic and one-man show pieces.
However, by those closest to him, he is probably best known as a professional card magician, charlatan, and close-up performer. He has studied the history and tradition of the art of magic since age 7, and over the course of the last 26 years has done all he can to elevate the art in his own unique way. His corporate clients include Doherty Enterprises, Applebeeʼs Grill & Bar, Outback Steakhouse, Seton Hall University, and The Boy Scouts Of America. He is the creator of his own one-man show, “Demonstrations Of Modern Conjuring”, and in 2005, was awarded Second Place by the Society Of American Magicians for his performance of his signature piece, “Needles”.
Currently he is at work mapping out scenarios for a number of different potential projects- a documentary, a memoir of his experiences with behavioral therapy, a script for another short film, and most especially, a long-gestating television pilot idea dealing with...stuff.
He is a graduate of Seton Hall University, where he earned a BA in Liberal Studies (Communications), and a double minor in English, and Creative Writing. He was born and raised in New Jersey, lives in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia, and does not know how to end his bio.
